Mike's Curated Collection: Engaging Stories for Everyone
Written on
Chapter 1: Introduction to the Collection
Dear Readers, as you delve into this curated collection, you will discover a range of captivating stories. My goal was to select diverse pieces that cater to various interests. In addition, I have included special narratives from my unique publication, Health and Science. This newsletter marks the second edition, showcasing our progress and providing examples of featured content.
If you are passionate about these subjects, I invite you to join my community on both Medium and Substack. I am also expanding our outreach to Quora. You can find my first tutorial on monetization, which is a common inquiry among writers.
Section 1.1: Inspirational Stories for Writers
In today's newsletter, we feature an inspiring piece aimed at Substack and Medium writers. Our chief editor’s insights resonated with me, revealing several points from his clever checklist that I had not previously considered.
Dr. Yildiz recently interviewed Tim Denning, and the discussion has been shared on both Medium and Substack. Tim has valuable advice for writers, so don't miss out on this opportunity. We also have four additional interviews lined up with writers from various backgrounds.
Subsection 1.1.1: Meet Our Featured Writers
- Meet Bill Petro, a retired tech expert with a rich history.
- Meet Waleed Mahmud Tariq, a finance author.
- Meet Elle, a contributor to my Health and Science publication.
- Meet Wendi Gordon, a skilled writer with extensive experience.
If you’re interested in being interviewed, feel free to contact Dr. Yildiz on Slack, or let me know, and I can pass along your message.
Section 1.2: Today's Featured Stories
As suggested by Aiden, you can find updates and pub-related news by reviewing today’s selected stories, which include:
- "Emerging Concerns of Elevated Uric Acid on Obesity, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Impotence, & Dementia" by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz
- "LXRs: Why Liver X Receptors Take Center Stage for Health Research with Multiple Clinical Trials" by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz

Chapter 2: Community and Collaboration
As we continue to build our community, I want to express gratitude for Aiden’s contributions to Health and Science. He has recently completed his 200th episode, and despite facing setbacks, he remains an inspiration.
We have onboarded many new writers recently, and I plan to introduce them to my audience in a future post.
I also wrote a piece addressing the challenges we face with Facebook, as they wrongly flagged an authentic Medium story. This has led to the closure of all our Facebook pages and groups, which is both frustrating and perplexing.
I have decided to focus more on publishing and promoting exceptional stories rather than getting bogged down in editing, which has become a source of stress for me.
Let’s celebrate our achievements and support our new writers as they embark on their journeys.
