What caught my attention during these interviews was the number of founders who found it difficult to express their business-related strengths and weaknesses.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, I urge you to reflect deeply. This introspection can significantly influence your business's trajectory.
Here’s a straightforward guide with examples to assist you in this process:
Grab your computer, tablet, or a piece of paper, and create two columns.

Still uncertain? Consider taking some online personality assessments. I recommend StrengthsFinder 2.0, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and DISC.
Once you have identified your strengths and weaknesses, evaluate which areas require further development.
This exercise is beneficial as it highlights the types of individuals you should consider adding to your team—those whose strengths complement your weaknesses.
Some aspects in your “Weaknesses” column may stand out prominently. Before achieving success, it’s essential to address and improve upon these areas. Conversely, certain strengths and weaknesses may be less significant concerning your overall business objectives. Furthermore, while some challenges may be critical, you might not be the best person to tackle them. In such cases, seeking external assistance could be advantageous.
