This method is faster and more familiar for most users, given our widespread use of smartphones. It's amusing to observe how many individuals instinctively tap screens, assuming they are touch-sensitive!

Moreover, touchscreens can enhance usability, especially in scenarios where a physical keyboard is unnecessary—like watching videos or gaming with a controller. This is particularly true for 360° laptops. Additionally, they can be beneficial for creative tasks, such as drawing.

The Disadvantages of Touchscreen Laptops

However, I must reiterate that many touchscreen laptops fall short in terms of quality. The touch response can be inaccurate, and the screens often feel delicate. Speaking from personal experience, this can lead to frustration.

Furthermore, touchscreen models typically come with a higher price tag compared to their non-touch counterparts. If you're seeking a quality touchscreen experience, be prepared to invest even more.

Screen damage is another concern, particularly with lower-end models. These devices can be tricky to repair, depending on the design. Additionally, touchscreens might negatively impact battery life, consuming more power than traditional displays. Some laptops, especially those that convert to tablets, can end up being bulkier than expected.
