Surviving the Slump: A Week Without Caffeine

Chapter 1: Reflections on Day 7
Today marks a significant milestone—one whole week without caffeine and tackling my afternoon fatigue head-on.
Today was a welcome relief compared to the chaos of yesterday. My child woke up on schedule, and despite staying up later than usual last night, I feel quite good.
In a bid to enhance my routine, I changed the order of my activities today and achieved what I believe to be my best results yet. I started by downing a liter of water around noon, followed by an abs-focused workout, concluding with deep breathing exercises. The weather was beautiful, a perfect 59°F with a refreshing breeze, prompting me and my child to head to the park afterward.
However, our outing was unexpectedly interrupted. It appeared that our favorite park was chosen for community service work involving convicts, complete with armed guards and a circling helicopter. We promptly left upon realizing the situation.
While I appreciate the park receiving some much-needed landscaping and cleanup, I cannot risk my daughter playing there under such circumstances.
Upon returning home, I continued my tech blackout by playing fun games like "keepy uppy" with my daughter, transitioning into her reading and math lessons afterward.
Overall, I felt alert and surprisingly calm as the evening approached. I genuinely believe I discovered a winning combination today—not just the exercises, but also the brief exposure to sunshine contributed to my positive state.
As for productivity, I have outlined my plans for the next two days—an accomplishment for me! I’ve drafted 20 articles and generated some new ideas to explore as we move further into the month. I still have time to achieve my goals!
This week has been a whirlwind of experiences, but I’ve gleaned valuable insights. Armed with a solid plan, I’m ready to tackle the upcoming week!
The ultimate aim of this journey isn’t merely to survive the slump but to learn how to maintain my energy levels naturally throughout the day. B vitamin supplements are high on my list, and I’ve been researching new foods to incorporate into my diet.
