# The Power of Daily Walks: Enhancing Decision-Making Skills

Chapter 1: The Impact of Poor Decisions
We've all experienced the regret that comes from making unwise choices. Such decisions can dramatically alter the course of our lives.
Consider this: we may spend over a year pursuing a goal, only to realize it wasn't the right path. Similarly, hasty choices can lead to the loss of cherished relationships. While we often hear about the advantages of staying active, I find that my daily walks serve as a powerful tool for solving problems and gaining clarity.
Walking allows my mind to quiet down. The act of moving, paired with the release of feel-good hormones, fosters an environment where my thoughts can settle. When our minds are calm, we tap into a deeper intelligence, one that thrives when we're not overwhelmed by stress or emotions.
This is why walking can be an invaluable asset in decision-making—it's a way to avoid poor choices as well. Before I step out for my walk, I often ponder, "What challenge am I facing today that needs a solution?"
With that intention set, I embark on my stroll, allowing my mind to work through the issue. Insights come naturally, almost effortlessly, leading to resolutions that resonate deeply.
Ahhhh, that’s the ideal approach. In moments of frustration, I tend to leap to irrational conclusions that can be costly. However, when I’m moving outdoors, with sunlight on my face, my cognitive abilities improve, and solutions begin to emerge.
I make it a point to jot these insights down. Could regular walking enhance your business acumen, relationships, and overall wisdom?
Do you aspire to develop a stronger mindset than the average person? If this resonates with you, I invite you to download my free illustrated booklet, "The 12 Habits of Mentally Strong People." It’s available for a limited time when you subscribe to my Substack newsletter.
